Belonging
“Belonging” Is an installation for Fremont Park in Glendale, Los Angeles, California. The project features tiled artworks on 22 columns, integrated throughout the park. The artworks were placed on the front and back of each column. A total of 1688 glazed porcelain tiles were created for the installation.
"Commissioned by the City of Glendale in Los Angeles, California, this permanent installation brings an artistic element to the newly reimagined space. Inspired by native wildflower fields, “Belonging” celebrates the local landscape and community through a rich vocabulary of pattern, color, and form. The design draws on California’s diverse flora and incorporates nods to quilting and decorative traditions to evoke themes of home and family." (Crescenta Valley Weekly)
