Public Art > Ebb and Flow

Ebb and Flow is installed at the Patchogue-Medford Library located at 54-60 E Main Street in Patchogue, NY. The stairwell is located in a transitional space between the main library lobby and a lower level where the children's library and program rooms are located. This project was installed with the generosity and support of the Patchogue-Medford Library, the Friends of Patchogue-Medford Library, and the Huntington Arts Council.

In September 2024, I held a community painting day in collaboration with the library. Children and adults were able to "paint by number" and participate in the mural making process. The mural returned to my studio for additional work, and was installed in October 2024.

Thank you to the amazing team at the library (especially Danielle and Mike!) and my incredible studio and installation assistants (Gianna Valente, Chris Stahley, Bridgette Havel, Alisha Horne, Grace Cunningham, and Justine Woracek). Thanks also to my family and friends who helped out with prep and painting. <3

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and administered by The Huntington Arts Council.
